Work&Study Australia (WSA) is committed to operating ethically and with integrity in all business dealings. We recognise the importance of preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all forms, including:

- Deceptive recruitment practices
- Exploitation of vulnerable workers
We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery within our operations and business relationships.
2. OUR BUSINESS OPERATIONS
WSA operates as a business-to-business (B2B) sponsorship facilitation and coordination service, supporting:
- Placement Consultants (Associates)
- Sponsor Employers
- Migration Agents
WSA does not:
- Employ or place workers directly
- Act as a labour hire provider or recruitment agency
- Provide migration advice
Our role is limited to facilitating connections and coordinating processes between independent parties.
3. SUPPLY CHAINS AND RISK AREAS
Although WSA does not directly employ or supply labour, we recognise that risks of modern slavery may arise within:
- Employer operations and workplaces
- Third-party service providers
- International candidate sourcing environments
Particular risks include:
- Underpayment or exploitation of workers
- Coercion or misleading employment arrangements
- Vulnerability of overseas applicants unfamiliar with Australian laws
Our role is limited to facilitating connections and coordinating processes between independent parties.
4. ACTIONS WE TAKE
WSA takes reasonable steps to reduce the risk of modern slavery, including:
Due Diligence Awareness
- Encouraging Placement Consultants and Candidates to conduct independent due diligence on employers
- Promoting awareness of Fair Work obligations and lawful employment practices
Clear Role Limitation
- Maintaining strict separation between WSA and employment relationships
- Avoiding involvement in employment terms, wages, or workplace arrangements
Ethical Business Practices
- Refusing to knowingly engage with businesses involved in unlawful or exploitative practices
- Promoting transparent and lawful engagement between parties
Compliance Positioning
- Clearly stating that WSA does not guarantee employment or sponsorship outcomes
- Ensuring all services are delivered in accordance with Australian Consumer Law
5. EXPECTATIONS OF PARTNERS
WSA expects all parties we engage with, including:
- Placement Consultants
- Employers
- Migration Agents
to:
- Comply with all applicable Australian laws
- Uphold fair and lawful employment practices
- Not engage in any form of exploitation or coercion
6. REPORTING CONCERNS
WSA encourages any concerns relating to modern slavery or unethical conduct to be reported.

8. APPROVAL
This statement reflects Work&Study Australia’s commitment to ethical operations and has been approved by management.
Welcome to Work&Study Australia (“WSA”). By accessing or using our website, services, or any related platforms, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
- Services Provided
- WSA provides a consultation-based employer introduction and coordination service. Our services may include:
- Reviewing and presenting candidate profiles for role-fit consideration (e.g., occupation, skills and experience)
- Identifying and engaging potential employers and/or host organisations that may be open to considering candidates
- Facilitating introductions and coordinating interviews or discussions between candidates and third parties
- Where requested, facilitating introductions to education providers regarding study options
- Where requested, coordinating introductions for Job Ready Program (JRP) employment opportunities (introductions and coordination only)
WSA may introduce candidates to employers who hold, or may be eligible to obtain, the relevant approvals to sponsor workers (where applicable).
Important: WSA does not provide migration advice, assess visa eligibility, prepare or lodge nominations/visa applications, liaise with the Department, or issue qualifications.
⚠️ No guarantees: WSA does not guarantee employment offers, visa approvals, nomination/sponsorship approvals, work placements, program outcomes, or any migration outcome.
- Appointment and Authority (Limited Scope)
By engaging WSA, you authorise WSA to act on your behalf only for the limited purpose of:
- Facilitating introductions to potential employers, host organisations, and/or education providers
- Coordinating interviews, meetings, and communications between you and relevant third parties
- Sharing your profile and information you provide to WSA with third parties only as necessary to deliver the requested service
This authority is strictly limited and does not extend to:
- Migration/immigration advice or assistance
- Legal, financial, tax, or compliance advice
- Making representations to the Department or any assessing authority on your behalf
- Accepting employment offers or entering contracts on your behalf
- Eligibility and User Responsibilities
To use WSA’s services, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Provide true, accurate, and complete information
- Understand that WSA is not a registered migration agent, immigration lawyer, RTO, employer, sponsor, or government authority
- Acknowledge that all visa strategy, eligibility assessment, and any application preparation/lodgement must be handled by a registered migration agent or immigration lawyer
- Independently verify any information you rely on before making decisions
- No Guarantees and Third-Party Decisions
WSA is an introductions and coordination service only. You acknowledge that:
- WSA cannot control employer decisions, market conditions, or third-party timeframes
- Employers/host organisations decide whether to interview, offer employment, or pursue any sponsorship pathway
- Visa and program outcomes depend on laws, eligibility requirements, and decisions by employers and relevant authorities
- Information Disclaimer (No Advice)
- Any information provided by WSA (verbally, electronically, or in writing) is general and for informational purposes only.
- WSA does not provide legal, migration, financial, or compliance advice. You should consult appropriately licensed professionals for any such matters.
- Fees, Payments and Refunds
- Fees paid to WSA are for services delivered (including consultation time, employer research/outreach, profile presentation, and coordination).
- Fees are generally non-refundable, except where required by the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or where a separate written agreement expressly provides otherwise.
- Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies available under the ACL.
- Confidentiality and Privacy
- WSA handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
- You consent to WSA sharing your information with potential employers, host organisations, education providers, and other relevant third parties only to the extent necessary to provide the requested service
- WSA takes reasonable steps to protect personal information but cannot guarantee absolute security.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- WSA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from use of its website or services
- WSA is not responsible for the acts, omissions, decisions, or outcomes of employers, education providers, migration agents, government bodies, or other third parties
ACL notice: This clause does not limit your rights under the Australian Consumer Law where such rights cannot be excluded.
- Indemnity
You agree to indemnify WSA against reasonable losses, claims, and expenses arising from:
- False or misleading information you provide.
- Your breach of these Terms.
- Disputes between you and any third party (including employers/host organisations/providers) connected through WSA
- This indemnity does not apply to the extent of WSA’s own negligence, unlawful conduct, or breach of the ACL.
